How do I update email frequency for my Members?

Follow
This article refers to GaggleAMP Classic, a deprecated version of the platform. If you're looking for articles for newer versions of the platform, please refer to the Manager FAQs section.
As a manager, you have a couple of options for controlling the frequency of email notifications for messages that are automatically loaded via AutoAMP:

1. Members can change their notification email frequency setting

First off, your members have the ability to control the frequency at which they receive email notifications. Their frequency setting defaults "Realtime", which means they receive an email at the top of each hour when new messages were posted. Instead of receiving emails at that frequency, they can also choose to receive a daily or weekly digest email. To access their personal email settings at any time, they can simply click the link provided at the bottom of every "You have New Messages to Share on GaggleAMP" email:

2. Use AutoAMP settings to control when new messages start

As manager, you can control when emails with AutoAMP messages are sent to your members from the "Adjust AutoAMP Settings" page. To get there, click on the link from your Manager Dashboard:

The last setting on the next page, "Start Time for Messages" is the one you want to adjust:

With the default setting of "When Placed in Gaggle", an email notification will be triggered every time new messages are loaded from the social networks on which you have enabled AutoAMP as those messages are starting right away. If you change this setting to "At a Specified Time", then all messages loaded from AutoAMPed accounts will be scheduled to start at the same time each day, and therefore a maximum of only 1 email notification per day would be sent to your members for AutoAMPed messages (keep in mind that manually posted messages could still trigger email notifications at other times).
